What is Paradice?
Around the same time as the popular Lucky Star was discovered an even bigger game was unveiled, Paradice. An ancient game from the Far East where players would place bets on the battle between the Phoenix Dice and the Dragon Dice. We now bring the game into the 21st century.
The Paradice Game
To play Paradice you need to select your chip value and place the chip/s on the table. There are a number of bets you can make, including the total number to come up or whether the Dragon or Phoenix will have the highest number. All the bets types and odds are listed below. Once you have placed your chip click on bet and the dice will roll. You win if any of your selections apply to the dice when they stop spinning.
Placing bets
Select your chosen chip value using the chip selector in the bottom right corner of the game window. Then simply select what you would like to bet on. The chips will stack up as you add more chips to the same bet, thus increasing the stake. When you have placed your chosen bets press "BET" to roll the dice.
The bets
There are several types of bets that can be placed on the Paradice table:
THE 'TOTAL' BET
This is a bet on the total sum of all 4 dice. The odds range from 8.00 to 1200.00 for a winning bet.
THE 'TOTAL SPLIT' OR 'TOTAL TWO NUMBER' BET
A player may place a bet on any line that divides any two adjacent total sum bets. The bet is that the total sum of the 4 dice will add up to either of those two numbers. The odds range from 4.00 to 240.00 for a winning bet.
THE 'TOTAL CORNER' OR 'TOTAL SQUARE' BET
The bet is placed on the intersection of four total sum bets. The bet is that the total sum of the 4 dice will add up to one of these four numbers. The odds range from 2.25 to 20.00 for a winning bet.
THE 'TOTAL RANGE' BET
This bet is placed on any of the three 'Total Range' bets running vertically down the table. Lo range (odds 9.50) wins if the total sum is between 4 and 9, mid range (odds 1.10) wins if the total sum is between 10 and 18 and hi range (odds 9.50) wins if the total sum is between 19 and 24.
2,3 or 4 OF A KIND BET
These bets are placed below the total bet box. Winning bets on 2 of a kind will pay out 1.25 if 2 or more of the same number is thrown. Bets on 3 of a kind will pay out 9.00 if 3 or more of the same number is thrown, and winning bets on 4 of a kind will pay out 200.00 if four of any number is thrown.
THE PHOENIX BETS
ODD and EVEN will pay out 1.95 if the sum of the two Phoenix dice are correctly predicted. The Phoenix WIN bet will pay out if the total sum of the two Phoenix dice is higher than that of the two Dragon dice. Win bets will lose if the respective sum of the Phoenix and Dragon dice is the same. Winning bets on ANY 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 pays 3.00 if 1 die or more is thrown of the chosen number.
